Once upon a time a widow in the town of Zarephath. During a severe famine, she was left with only a handful of flour and a little oil. Yet, when the prophet Elijah arrived, he asked her to make him a meal. Despite her limited resources, she offered him all she had. Moved by her generosity and faith, God promised to provide for her until the famine ended. Even in difficult times, we can replace fear with faith and selfishness with generous love, trusting in God to provide for our needs.
