Ecclesiastes Explained at Eforie Church

Kohelet (HE) Ecclesiastes (GR) Teacher (EN)

How do you use what you understood from this book?

1:9 What has been is what shall be, and what is done is what shall be done; there is nothing new under the sun

2:26 For to the man who is pleasing in His sight, He gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy, but to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and accumulating in order to give to the one who is pleasing in God’s sight

3:1 There is an occasion for everything, and a right time for every activity

4:9 Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts

5:2 Do not be hasty to speak

7:3 Grief is better than laughter, for when a face is sad, a heart may be glad

8:8 No one has authority over the wind to restrain it, and there is no authority over the day of death

11:1 Send your bread on the surface of the waters, for after many days you may find it

12:1 So remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of adversity come, and the years approach when you will say, I have no delight in them

12:13-14 When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is: fear God and keep His commands. This is the whole duty of all men. For God will bring every work to judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil
