Galatians Explained Do NOT Circumcise Instead Use Your Freedom to Serve with the Fruit of the Holy Spirit

What helped you from the letter of Paul for the Galatians?
How do you use what you understood from this message?

1:6 keep grace Gospel
2:20 Christ lives in me
3:27 baptized clothed with Christ
3:28 We all are one in Christ
4:6 sons of God – Spirit in our hearts
4:31 children of the free woman
5:2 do NOT circumcise
5:13 free to serve one another
5:22 fruit of the Spirit
5:23 love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control
6:1 restore gently mindful
6:7 reap what you sow
6:15 new creation is everything

The theme Paul writes about is the fact that Christ brought liberty and freedom from sin and from the bindings of the Law of Moses. He also admonishes those who who have returned trying to observe the law are turning their backs on Christ and the freedom from the law to live again in bondage. He reminds them that freedom is not license to live in sin, as Christ has given us the power to live victoriously over sin which used to hold us captive and that power comes from the Holy Spirit. So do NOT circumcise and do NOT undermine baptism! Instead use your freedom in Christ to serve one another!

Romans Explained

Peace friends in Christ, this week we read 2 cap daily from Romans.

🟢 How do you use what you understood from the letter of Romans?

“I really love to listen to the short summary on the books of the Bible. They give a clear definition of what the book is about and is easy to understand. I love the book of Romans, it ushered in the beginning of Paul’s ministry to the Gentiles and shows that God loves us all, saves us all we all sin and we all can be forgiven.”

1 Abominable Depravity 2 Religious Sin

3 Grace Justified 4 Faith of Abraham

5 Reconciled from Death

6 Baptism for Freedom 7 Free from Law

8 Holy Spirit Ministry

9 Israel Rejection 10 Salvation 11 Remnant

12 Transformation and Gifts

13 Authority 14 Love One Another

15 Paul Travel Plans 16 Greets Blessings

The book of Romans was written around year 58, from Corinth in Greece by Paul the apostle, to the Church at the City of Rome, the largest inhabited city in the western world at that time. Paul teaches in this book his that Christians are justified by faith, and not of works. Some formerly Jewish Christians were teaching that you had to stay faithful to many things in the Jewish law to be saved by God, even though you were a Christian converted as a Gentile. Paul explained why this was not so and explained what the purposes of the Jewish law was and why it had been replaced by the perfect law of Christ. As Paul was a Jewish Rabbi before he came to Christ who had learned at the feet of Gamaliel and other great Jewish teachers, his words had much authority when he spoke of the salvation that is only won through a faith in Jesus Christ, alone, not through works of the Jewish law and that Divine power for holy living is imparted through the Holy Spirit to everyone who has been baptized into Jesus Christ. So keep on preaching the pure Gospel of Christ, Christian! Amen!
