Proverbs 16 01-33 ABV – Lordship
The plans of the heart belong to man, yet the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.
All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, yet the Lord weighs the motives.
Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.
The Lord has made all for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; assuredly, he will be punished.
By kindness and truth iniquity is purged, and by the fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil.
When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Better is a little with righteousness than great income with injustice.
The heart of man plans his way, yet the Lord directs his steps.
A divine decision is on the lips of the king; his mouth should not err in judgment.
A just balance and scales belong to the Lord; all the weights of the bag are His concern.
It is an abomination for kings to commit wicked acts, for a throne is established on righteousness.
Righteous lips are the delight of kings, and they love him that speaks right.
The fury of a king is like messengers of death, yet a wise man will appease it.
When a king’s face lights up, there is life, and his favor is like a cloud with the spring rain.
How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver!
The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; he who watches his way preserves his life.
Pride goes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall.
It is better to be humble in spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud.
He who gives attention to the word will find good, and he who trusts in the Lord is happy.
The wise in heart will be called skillful, and sweetness of the lips increases learning.
Understanding is a fountain of life to one who has it, yet the discipline of fools is silliness.
The heart of the wise instructs his mouth and adds learning to his lips.
Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones.
There is a way which seems right to a man, yet its end is the way of death.
A worker’s appetite works for him, for his hunger urges him.
A worthless man digs up evil, while his words are like burnning fire.
A perverse man spreads strife, and a slanderer separates friends.
A man of violence entices his neighbor and leads him in a way that is not good.
He who winks his eyes does so to devise perverse things; he who compresses his lips brings evil to pass.
Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is found in the way of righteousness.
Slow to anger is better than the mighty, and controlling one’s temper, than capturing a city.
The lot is cast into the lap, yet its every decision is from the Lord.

Proverbs 15 01-33 ABV – Gentleness
A gentle answer turns away wrath, yet a harsh word stirs up anger.
The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, yet the mouth of fools spits silliness.
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, observing the evil and the good.
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, yet perversion in it crushes the spirit.
A fool dispises his father’s instruction, yet he who regards reproof is sensible.
Great wealth is in the house of the righteous, yet trouble is in the income of the wicked.
The lips of the wise spread knowledge, yet the hearts of fools are not so.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, yet the prayer of the upright is His delight.
The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, yet He loves one who pursues righteousness.
Grievous punishment is for him who forsakes the way; he who hates reproof will die.
Sheol and Abaddon are before the Lord, how much more the hearts of men!
A mocker does not love one who reproves him, he will not go to the wise.
A joyful heart makes a cheerful face, yet when the heart is sad, the spirit is broken.
The mind of the discerning seeks knowledge, yet the mouth of fools feeds on silliness.
All the days of the afflicted are bad, yet a cheerful heart has a continual feast.
Better is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and turmoil with it.
Better is a meal of vegetables where love is than a fattened ox with hatred.
A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, yet the slow to anger calms a dispute.
The way of the lazy is as a hedge of thorns, yet the path of the upright is a made plain.
A wise son brings joy to his father, yet a foolish man despises his mother.
Silliness is joy to one who lacks sense, yet a man of understanding walks straight.
Without counsel, plans fail, yet with many advisors they succeed.
A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and how good is a word at the proper time!
The path of life leads upward for the wise that he may keep away from Sheol below.
The Lord will tear down the house of the proud, yet He will establish the boundary of the widow.
Evil plans are an abomination to the Lord, yet pleasant words are pure.
He who is greedy of gain troubles his own house, yet he who hates bribes will live.
The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer, yet the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
The Lord is far from the wicked, yet He hears the prayer of the righteous.
Bright eyes gladden the heart; good news strenghthens on the bones.
The ear that listens the reproof of life will dwell among the wise.
He who neglects instruction despises his own soul, yet he who listens to reproof acquires understanding.
The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom, and humility comes before honor.

Proverbs 14 01-35 ABV – Building
The wise woman builds her house, yet the foolish tears it down with her own hands.
He who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord, yet he who is devious in his ways despises Him.
In the mouth of the foolish is a rod for his pride, yet the lips of the wise will protect them.
Where no oxen are, the manger is clean, yet much revenue comes by the strength of the ox.
A trustworthy witness will not lie, yet a false witness utters lies.
A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, yet knowledge is easy to one who has understanding.
Walk away from the presence of a fool, or you will not discern lips of knowledge.
The wisdom of the sensible is to understand his way, yet the foolishness of fools is deceit.
Fools mock at sin, yet among the upright there is good will.
The heart knows its own bitterness, and a stranger does not share its joy.
The house of the wicked will be destroyed, yet the tent of the upright will flourish.
There is a way which seems right to a man, yet its end is the way of death.
Even in laughter the heart may be in sorrow, and joy may end in grief.
The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, and a good man from his.
The simple believes every word, yet the sensible man considers his steps.
A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, yet a fool is arrogant and careless.
A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, and a man of evil intent is hated.
The simple inherit foolishness, yet the sensible are crowned with knowledge.
The evil will bow down before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
The poor is hated even by his neighbor, yet many are those who love the rich.
He who despises his neighbor sins, yet happy is he who has mercy on the poor.
Don’t they who devise evil go astray? Yet kindness and faithfulness will be to those who devise good.
In all labor there is profit, yet only talking with the lips leads to poverty.
The crown of the wise is their wealth, yet the folly of fools is silliness.
A truthful witness delivers souls, yet he who utters lies is deceitful.
In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and his children will have refuge.
The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to avoid from the snares of death.
In a multitude of people is a king’s glory, yet in the lack of people is a prince’s ruin.
He who is slow to anger has great understanding, yet he who is quick-tempered exalts folly.
A tranquil heart is life to the body, yet envy is rottenness to the bones.
He who oppresses the poor mocks his Maker, yet he who has mercy to the needy honors Him.
The wicked is thrown down by his wickedness, yet the righteous has a refuge when he dies.
Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding, yet in the hearts of fools it is made known.
Righteousness exalts a nation, yet sin is a disgrace to any people.
The king’s favor is toward a wise servant, yet his anger is toward him who acts shamefully.

A wise son listens his father’s discipline, yet a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.
From the fruit of a man’s mouth he enjoys good, yet the lust of the treacherous is violence.
The one who guards his mouth preserves his life; the one who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.
The soul of the sluggard craves and has nothing, yet the soul of the diligent is fully satisfied.

The light of the righteous rejoices, yet the lamp of the wicked goes out.
By pride comes only strife, yet wisdom is with those who receive counsel.
Wealth by vanity will be diminished, yet the one who gathers by labor will increase.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, yet desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
The one who despises the word will be in debt to it, yet the one who fears the commandment will be rewarded.

Good understanding wins favor, yet hard is the way of the treacherous.
Every prudent man acts with knowledge, yet a fool displays silliness.
A wicked messenger falls into trouble, yet a faithful courier brings healing.
Poverty and shame will come to him who ignore discipline, yet he who regards reproof will be honored.
Desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul, yet it is an abomination to fools to turn away from evil.
He who walks with wise men will be wise, yet the companion of fools will suffer harm.
Disaster pursues sinners, yet the righteous will be rewarded with good.
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
Abundant food is in the fallow ground of the poor, yet without justice, it is swept away.
He who withholds his rod hates his son, yet he who loves him disciplines him diligently.
The righteous has enough to satisfy his appetite, yet the stomach of the wicked is in need.
