From New Age to Christianity

Write your encouragement for Carl and Roxy baptism testimony.

I was raised by Christian parents. When I reached the age of 12, I suddenly realized that all the things I had been taught applied to me and that I could be a child of God. At the age of 16 I decided I wanted to be preacher and started working toward that goal. At the age of 19 I was helping a country congregation by preaching for them most Sundays while I was in college. After college I started picking places to work that took me where the church was weaker and preaching part-time. When I was 36, I decided to leave my secular job to work full-time as a preacher and I’ve been doing it ever since. minister@lavistachurchofchrist.org, NE

Hello Carl! Congratulations on your third anniversary of being baptized into Christ! This is incredibly awesome! I am inspired by your faith in Jesus and I’m sure that our God has some really amazing plans for you and Roxanne! I am happy and honored to meet a great brother like you in Vilcabamba! your brother, chris efstathion

Three years ago you became Christians but are you still walking the walk? It is not once you are baptized everything is all set. You have to maintain your faith every day. Are you?

Carl,
The book of Hebrews speaks much about true, Biblical faith, which includes belief, obedience, and perseverance. May God continue to bless your perseverance in the faith as you learn to put into practice all that Jesus commands and make it to the end, holding firm to all the promises of our loving Father. Paul compared this world to the desert in which Israel spent 40 years. It is filled with scorpions and poisonous snakes! But God leads us through faithfully as we are faithful to Him. And the hope of the Promised Land is as real as the hot sand and desolate terrain we must tread! And He provides rich, spiritual food and living water for our remarkable journey. May He bless your coming year in wonderful ways as you draw closer to our loving Father. Happy Birthday!
-David Adams

I walk from earth to eternity! May these words penetrate our hearts and minds and may we pray and sing to our Mighty God to deliver us from this sinful world! 🙏✝️🙏

Happy spiritual birthday, brother! Thanks for sharing your wonderful testimony. All the best! Greetings from Romania!

Hi Brother Carl,
Just a quick note to encourage you in the Lord as you pass your third year as a disciple of Christ. Let the Word guide you in all matters and pray for God’s direction in all you do. Remember that in the Christian life it’s not how fast you run the race that’s important but if you finish the race faithfully.

How are you? I just jumped into your website and saw those amazing things that God has allowed to live in Ecuador. Congratulations. As I see, you are doing great! How are your children? The time flies! All the best for you!

I understand that today is your third spiritual birthday. By now the excitement of your conversion has likely lessened as life has tumbled in with its tests.

Making it through the first year is similar to making it through the first year of grief after losing someone. First years are difficult. After that, our spiritual muscles are getting stronger, and in time, we learn to allow our intellects, and what we know to be true from the Bible, to win out over the emotions that bring the short-term challenges.

Honestly, as a man approaching my 78th birthday (October), being determined to persevere with Jesus is the most important conviction I have on many days. I simply will not quit, no matter what the challenges of life may bring.

Three years has shown that you have similar convictions. Keep it up. Life goes by fast and Jesus is the one constant by which we can navigate life consistently. He shows us God and thus he shows us love. By the power of the Holy Spirit working in us, we remain in that love and will one day see its end result when we are with him. In the meantime, let’s help others to know him as we now do.

Congratulations on your anniversary and may you have many, many more! Love, Gordon Ferguson

Greetings from a brother you don’t know, in Boston. Cris shared with me the link to your baptism and testimony from three years ago, and I was encouraged by your sincere desire to change your life, to walk with Christ and the Holy Spirit, and to help others to make significant changes in their own lives. You are three years on your journey now, and I am about 37 years on mine.

A good friend died just a few months ago, and we buried his remains one week ago. I knew him very well; he was a part of our small fellowship here, and he died in his fifties; however he died at the top of his spiritual game. He went out strong, and that is the most important thing. I think often of what it says at the end of Ezekiel chapter 18: God does not care very much about our past, whether good or bad: the important thing is how we finish the race. May you persevere all the way to the end, and finish strong, my brother.

I encourage you to be like the noble man of Psalm 1 who meditates every day on the word of the Lord, that the Lord may bless you in many ways, including in the most important way: the reward of eternal life. May God bless you in your work, your family and in your ongoing spiritual journey.

Congratulations Carl, I wish you an interesting journey in the arms of God!

Dear Carl, Congratulations on your Third Spiritual Birthday! Though we have not met, I am confident that we will in Heaven! My prayer for you is that today is filled with precious memories and even more Kingdom dreams! With all of our admiration and affection, Kip & Elena McKean

Brother Carl, greetings from the Chicago Church of Church of Christ :`} It’s so good to hear your testimony of how God prepared you and saved you for his eternal purposes through our Lord Jesus! I can appreciate your desire to help people to be healthy spiritually and physically. I used to cook at a microbiotic restaurant when in my 20’s and experienced a community that was usually aligned with new age beliefs and practices. Even in the rare event that someone had faith in Christ, it was not according to God’s word. As the apostle Peter wrote, I encourage you to continue to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Amen! -Fred I.

My bro really for every Christian the baptisms is the turning point. We are specially praying about you and your family that to stay in faith and rejoice in the lord please do pray about us in this young age you should be like the TIMOTHY and do the God’s work like TIMOTHY and also save the many of the lost souls in your area.
